Reflecting on a Fertility-Focused Year, 2024
As I continue to work through my Advanced Fertility Support Diploma, 2024 has been a pivotal year in my practice. Transitioning more deeply into the fertility and reproductive health space has been both rewarding and humbling. Here’s a look back at the incredible progress we’ve made together.
Over the past year, more than a third of my patients sought fertility support, highlighting the growing need for personalised, holistic care in this area. Of these patients, two-thirds were women, and one-third were men—many of whom attended alongside their partners. This balanced approach to fertility highlights the importance of addressing both male and female reproductive health to optimise outcomes.
Of the women who began their fertility journey with me in 2024, 75% are now either pregnant or celebrating the arrival of their newborns—a testament to the power of combining acupuncture, herbal medicine, and tailored lifestyle recommendations. Tragically, one of the pregnancies resulted in a loss, which highlights the emotional complexities and biological intricacies of fertility struggles. While 25% of women are still in the initial stages of their three-month preparation plan, I remain hopeful for their success as they work towards their fertility goals, whether naturally or with the help of assisted reproductive technology (ART).
This year’s journey has reinforced my commitment to offering a compassionate, evidence-informed approach to fertility care. Each step, from optimising sperm health to regulating menstrual cycles and preparing for IVF, has been tailored to the unique needs of every individual and couple.
Looking ahead to 2025, I am honoured to continue this work, supporting individuals and couples through their fertility journeys. Whether you’re just beginning to explore your options or seeking holistic support to complement other treatments, I’m here to help you every step of the way.
