Who we are

This website is operated by Laura Biddle ("Laura the Acupuncturist"), a sole trader providing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine services at 6 Queens Chambers, 61 Boldmere Rd, Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield, B73 5XA.

What data we collect

Contact form: When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content. This data is processed by Web3Forms and delivered to us via email. We do not store form submissions on this website.

Booking system: When you book via Sanctum, your data is handled by Sanctum's privacy policy. We use Sanctum as our clinic management system.

Analytics: If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used: pages visited, time spent, approximate location (to city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site. Google's advertising features are switched off and we do not combine this data with anything else. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Google Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual visitors. It provides aggregate page view and performance data only.

How we use your data

Contact form data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not use your data for marketing unless you explicitly opt in.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained in email for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry. Clinical records are retained in accordance with professional body requirements (typically 8 years for adults).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. Contact [email protected] to make a request.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to us directly using our data protection complaints procedure. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
